Final Year Bachelor degrees in British Universities
Asian students with a 3 year college diploma can study the last year (year 3) of a Bachelor degree in a British university
The entry requirements are higher than for a Pre-Masters course, and you cannot do this at any top 20 universities. Also the study is more difficult than the Pre-Masters course. However, if you perform well you are more likely to be accepted by a very good university for your Masters degree.
Students who have performed well have then been able to go on and study their Masters degree in universities such as Durham and Manchester.
To apply for third year entry you should apply direct to the university first of all (not through UCAS). There is no deadline for application. Send the university your university transcript, IELTS certificate, 2 references plus a personal statement and an application form. Obviously you cannot change majors between your college diploma study and your third year degree study. If your grades are good entry is usually quite possible. You do not need IELTS before you apply, just before you start your course in the UK.
The subjects most likely to accept you on to a final year are the vocational ones such a Business and IT.
