Accounting ACCA in the UK

How is Accounting in Leeds Metropolitan University (LMU)? It is said that this degree can waive parts of ACCA. If I can pass all ACCA can I find an accounting job in the UK?
The Answer
It is true that study at LMU can help you gain credit for parts of the professional exam (but not all).
We contacted LMU to ask them for details but unfortunately all they could tell us was, "You will need to contact ACCA directly to find out which exemptions are available for students who complete MSc Accounting." Danielle Child Postgraduate Admissions
You can finish your ACCA in the UK in one of many colleges which specialise in ACCA. However it will be difficult for you to get an Accounting job in the UK.
If you want to work in the UK after you study you should think about studying in a university in Scotland. If you do, you can work in Scotland for 2 years after you graduate. The universities with Accounting Masters in Scotland are: Glasgow, Heriot Watt (in Edinburgh) and Strathclyde (in Glasgow).
Or there are some degrees with work as part of your study. For example the University of Central Lancashire (near Manchester) has an MSc Business Management which lasts 16 months and has 4 months work placement. www.uclan.ac.uk
