Masters Financial EconomicsUniversity of: Oxford University
The MSc in Financial Economics is taught jointly by members of the Economics Department and the Saïd Business School, although teaching takes place in SBS. It is a nine-month programme that provides graduates with an outstanding training in the tools of financial economics sought by financial institutions, companies and public organisations. It is also designed for students wishing to pursue doctoral degrees in finance. Through courses in Asset Pricing, Microeconomics, Financial Econometrics, and Corporate Finance it equips students with a thorough grounding in the study of financial economics. In addition to these core courses, students develop their own specialist knowledge and map out their future careers through a project report and/or through their choice of elective courses. Selected students will be able to pursue a DPhil in Finance after the Master's. Students wishing to pursue doctoral studies will be required to choose research-focused electives. Please consult the website at www.sbs.ox.ac.uk/mfe for up to date information, including the open events at which prospective students can learn more about this course.
