Most universities offer many different Masters degree in Economics. It is a very popular subject at postgraduate level, because it offers such great career pathways. Most courses are advanced and you will need to be a Bachelors Economics student to apply. However, there are some courses that will accept students from a different, Mathematical degree and these include Maths, Accounting, Finance, Physics and Engineering. There are a very few courses that are open to graduates from any discipline but you should remember that employment prospects will be better for graduates of advanced courses.
To get a job in this field you do not need a Masters in Economics if you have a Bachelors degree in Economics. If you do not have a Bachelors first degree then you will need a Masters to start your career. With an Economics degree the following careers are open to you:
