Psychology 心理学
A Psychology degree at undergraduate level takes just 3 years in the UK but you will need excellent grades to be accepted. If you do not have A-Levels (the British High School exam) most International Science Foundation courses will allow you to enter a psychology degree. You will need to have excellent high school grades in Science subjects to be accepted.
You can call yourself, and work as, a Psychologist after your degree but to become a registered (Chartered) Psychologist in the UK you must also take a one year Masters and then complete 1-3 years supervised work-experience.
At Masters level there are n conversion courses – you must have studied Psychology at undergraduate level. A Masters degree can specialise in: counselling; clinical; educational; occupational; forensic; health; teaching/research.
Careers
Psychologists can be self-employed or work within hospitals. They can also go on to work within Human Resources Management. In the west, self-employed Psychologists, advising patients can earn very large salaries. This field does not really exist in China at the moment but it may do in the future.

Counselling: There are postgraduate degrees in Counselling that are less competitive and easier to be accepted than Psychology. Undergraduate degrees take 3 years and most International Foundation programmes will be ok to be accepted. Masters degrees take one year and you do not have to have a Counselling undergraduate degree to apply. In this career you can listen and encourage people but you cannot give advice.
