This is a very good question and should be useful to a lot of overseas students.

As for MBA and Business rankings my favourite table is that from the Financial Times. Their rankings are for the best business schools in the world or in Europe so interms of the UK they only show the very best b-schools in the UK but if you want to know which are the best in the UK then the FT is better than The Times.

And it has the advantage of including Cranfield in its rankings.

Just to reaffirm for people who don't know about Cranfield it is a Graduate school only (it has no undergraduate courses) and this is very unsual in the UK (common in the USA). For this reason it is not included in the Times rankings and so many overseas students don't know about Cranfield.

Its specialises in Business and Engineering (at PG level) and is very strong in all its courses.

As for MBA, Cranfield is rated as one of the best MBA's in the world (35th) - 6th best in Britain

For Business schools in general FT rates Cranfield 2nd best in Europe!!!

That was a helpful reply. I have offer letter from Cranfield,Lancaster & Strathclyde for MBA program and I confused between Lancaster & Cranfield in terms of reputation both in and outside UK, Job prospects in UK post MBA in these Universities.
It would be helpful if anyone can shed light on these aspects.

Both Lancaster and Cranfield have top reputations in the UK as post graduate institutions - and are well recognized for their MBA programs.

Lancaster is often described in forums as a more academic course, although I've personally always thought of it as pretty hands on - their are loads of parts of the curriculum like 'action learning' and international exchanges that don't really brand it as academically focused!

Cranfield is famed for it's post graduate success rate in consulting recruitment - it's a tough course with 2 years worth of work crammed into the one year program.
