I heard that it's not easy to graduate from Kingston. Is it true?

student

LiYan    2008/3/27 12:08

Kingston is strict. The fail rate is half for some departments.

student

Apple    2008/3/28 13:26

That's right. More strict, more high qualified. So graduates will be more popular

It's a new university. Which universities did you apply except UCLAN?

student

purvi1302    2008/4/10 1:29

I've applied to Middlesex and Birmingham.. Hoping to get into one of those..!!

student

newcomer    2008/4/11 11:53

Why Middlesex?

student

purvi1302    2008/4/12 0:04

because Ive heard its a really good uni..
anyway Ive got into london metropolitan also.. but thats not too good rite ???

student

newcomer    2008/4/14 11:18

I never heard that Middlesex is good London Metropolitan is a new university, and made up of University of North London and London Guildhall University. So it does't have ranking. I feel it's similar with Middlesex.

student

purvi1302    2008/4/19 18:52

Ive got into birmingham as well.. 99% will be going there..
heard its a really good city and university.. wat say ???

student

opo    2008/4/21 12:50

Birmingham is a busy city. It's very convenient for life and traffic, and it's easy to go to the airport. Good place, and also, with more work opportunities :)

student

purvi1302    2008/4/22 0:55

good city n all is ok.. but is it a good university or no ???

student

opo    2008/4/25 17:24

Of course it's a good university, with a long history and good reputation

student

purvi1302    2008/4/25 19:26

thats good to hear.. oh but its UCE Birmingham.. Not univ of Birmingham.. is that also equally good ??

student

Calvin    2008/4/28 16:21

UCE is pretty good but certainly not as good as University of Birmingham, but I don't think UoB has interior design anyway

student

purvi1302    2008/4/28 17:22

yeah thats wat.. UOB doesnt hav int desn.. which is why UCE..
also I hav to give my IELTS..
is it difficult ?!? I can manage without coaching rite ?

student

Liran    2008/4/29 17:18

i also want to apply for MA Int. Des. in the UK however i do not have much information about the schools or the percentage of accepted applications. i have done some research about schools that have MA Int. Des. through internet. here are the results:

UAL (obviously the best )
BIAD
Edinburgh College of Art
University of Westminster
University of Brighton
University of Portsmouth
London Metropolitan University
University of Central Lancashire
UCA

i want to apply for more than one school to be on the safe side. (: how should i prioritize these?

student

Calvin    2009/10/13 22:45

why not apply to all of them?

hi there!

I graduated the University of Arts & Design and now I'm looking for an Interior Architecture & Design MA course in the UK. It's what I really would like to study but since the faculty I finished is more connected to art & design I'm less sure about my possibilities to be accepeted at an Interior Architecture department. Could anybody help me with some infos?

The list where I want to apply is this:
Chelsea (CAL) - MA Interior and Spatial Design
London Metropolitan - MA Advanced Architecture and Interior Design
University of Westminster - MA Interior Design
Middlesex University - MA Interior Architecture
Which one is better?

I also searched for master courses in Germany, at the University of Applied Sience- Architecture Department in Stuttgart and at the Peter Behrens School of Architecture in Düsseldorf. Are there any other good Interior Architecture schools?
I would really need an advice if it's worth to study Interior Architecture in Germany, how is the level there, if the University of Applied Sience -called Fachhochschule- is recognised world wide?
Hoping for an answer and advices!looking very forward to it,
lots of thanks,

noemi
